Shaman totems will no longer share cooldowns with everything, just totems. Nice. Although it would be great if they only shared cooldowns with totems of the same elements. Dropping an Earth, Air and Water totem instantly would be a big boost to us shammies.

Since its not up on PTR yet I'm gonna say more than a month away at the very least... late march early april if I wanna go out on a limb... but you can never really predict that stuff.

Its Blizz knowing their effort on making stuff.... it will have a release date..... then be pushed back. When it finally comes out tho the next couple days or so they will have maaitenence like usual to clean up their....F ups and such like usual......gg blizz

edit: lol, I saw this post while reading new posts, and couldn't figure out what I had meant for the longest time... re-read all the posts above trying to figure it out, then it hit me... thread title... '2.4' ---> '24', and I do hate that show...

Looks like some 2.4 info has now been released.

I haven't seen a comprehensive list of patch notes, just dribs and drabs of information.

There will be a new daily quest for fishing! I guess I better get those last few skill points to bring my fishing up from 371 to 375...

Yeah, I hopped on the PTR this morning to check them out... /DROOL

Surprisingly, the new badge items look at least as good (or better, in some cases) than T5 gear. They're about equivalent to MJ/BT gear. Blizzard must be looking to start gearing-up the general WoW population to be able to legitimately explore all the BC content before WotLK. It's kind of a bummer for some of the premier raiding guilds, who have worked so hard to get the 'uber' PVE items from MJ/BT, but at least they had the pleasure of working through those fights already and have built up the skills to tackle new content.

With that said, it looks like many (if not all) of us will be looking to farm badges before 2.4 gets impelmented. That means looking towards mid-week Kara pugs or grinding heroics. I'm up for both if I'm around, so feel free to hit me up!

I also am thinking it might be a good idea to take 15-25 guildies prior to farm the Sunwell Plateau trash mobs prior to our regular raids. I realize it's a bit premature (who knows when 2.4 will ever go live), but the craftable patterns that drop from the trash are easily some of the best in the game... bar none. The new Sunfire Robe (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34364) and Gloves (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34366) for dps casters are without peer. I have heard similar assessments about other new 2.4 profession craftables (the new engineering goggles look incredible). We could theoretically farm the trash 5x per hour with resets for an hour or two and have a high probability of getting some of these super-uber items...

Well, I am most excited about the upcoming Sunwell dailies (rep with Shattered Sun Offensive). It appears that as more and more dailies are done by the entire server population, more things will be opened up in the zone, and the starting town will also grow. I have read that on the PvE PTR server, the first stage of the dailies was completed in 2 days, transforming the town into the next stage. So, if you actually want to see the town in the first stage, you will not be able to wait until the weekend after the patch comes up.

Wow sys thats really interesting. I've read a few articles about how Blizz was frustrated because they felt like players couldn't make permanent changes to the enviorment (and this screwed with the perception of realism in the game). But I guess making a town evolve through questing changed that a bit. I wonder if we'll be seeing that more in Lich King.

Can you link where you read that? I'd really like to see more info on it Times like that I kind of like how low pop Velen is..means I won't be missing any stages of world evolution haha.

Edit: this morning, there were Talasites on sale at the AH for 4g50s, which is equivalent to 18x25s (the vendor price of 18 green gems). Someone liquidating inventory??

One of the repliers at the bottom of the page states that they have actually received the Badges on the PTR. It's like Blizz just wants to give you all the new Badge items for free...

As of 6:30am server time (Tuesday March 25), my WoW has been updated to 2.4.

I'll be hitting Quel'Danas as soon as the server comes back up in 4.5 hours...
